Bharat Scout & Guide (Ranger)

Aim:

The aim of this unit is to train the students to make them morally sound, socially responsible and to prepare them to be ready for the serve to the nation.

Ranger team in Vedanta College:

The college Ranger Unit was registered on 20th March, 2010. The Ranger leader was trained in 2012. Ranger team was constituted in our college in 2012. In the first phase 24 students were registered in Ranger Team.

Detailed summary of activities (session wise):

Session 2011-12: 18 Students trained and bagged Praveen Certificate (At District level).

Session 2012-13: 10 Students bagged -Neepun Award – (State Level) By the Education Minister.

Session 2013-14: 03 Students have been trained for -Rashtrapati Award- at Mount Abu (Rajasthan).

Session 2014-15: 05 Students filled -Rashtrapati Award- registration form. College has submitted the Log book for -Uprastrapati Shield Award- at National Head Quarter DELHI .(Result awaited).

Session 2015-16: 05 Scout rangers bagged Rashtrapati Award (President Shield) from Honble President of India Sh. Pranab Mukherjee.

Session 2016-17:

(i) 05 Students bagged with Rashtrapati Award by President Pranab Mukherjee at Delhi

(ii) In block level & District Level Youth festival get first position in Odissi dance & Bharatnatyan, Speech Act.

(iii) In State Level Youth Festival get Second position in Odissi dance (iv) Service in Khatu Shyamji Mela.

Session 2017-18:

(i) 06 District level (Neepun Award) 03 State Level (Rajya Puraskar)

(ii) In block level & District level Youth Festival get first position in Kuchipudi & Manipuri dance

(iii) get first position in Kuchipudi dance at State level

(iv) 02 Rangers participate in state level ranger dessert training camp at Jaisalmer.

(v) College is winning Uprastrapati award in Session 2017-18 logbook is selected for Uprastrapati award

Session 2018-19:

(i) 02 Students participate in adventure training camp at Pushkar ghati, Ajmer.

(ii) 03 Students awarded with Rajya Puraskar (State level award)

(iii) Participate in National camp at Hariyana and Khurda (Odisha).

(iv) Service in Khatushymji Mela.

(v) Help in Various Service camp.

Our Achievements and Services:

Our Rangers participated in State level events like March-past at SMS stadium jaipur, Ranger meet programmes, many district state level scouting camps & events. Our Rangers now trained &have been registered for Rashtrapati Puraskar & the college has filled Log Book for the Uprastrapati Shield. Scout volunteers provide their active social services in Eye camp, different health camps, Service in Khatu Mela ,Summer water service at reengus platform ,Plantation programme ,Sanitation programme ,Eradication of social evils through awareness programme. Ranger leader was selected for training at world centre of scout \ guide PUNE . 05 scout rangers bagged Rashtrapati Award (President Shield) from Honble President of India Sh. Pranab Mukherjee. Vedanta Colleges logbook is selected for uprastrapati award
