Vedanta Foundation is a philanthropic initiative of Vedanta Limited, founded on 15th September 1992. It is a Public Charitable Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 and the Foreign Contributions Regulations Act, 1976 and approved under the U/S35AC, U/S 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The foundation has constantly contributed to the making of a world where Education, Nutrition and Livelihood is not a deprivation.
Vedanta Foundation has made higher education and quality learning accessible for the less privileged youth. Assisting these free-spirited students with modern amenities and advanced technology, the foundation has contributed its bit in fuelling their ambitions.
Vocational training, skill development, rural uplifting and prison training are few programs that the foundation successfully runs. They have woven these programs with a major thrust on employment generation for creating a sustainable development model. Millions of beneficiaries have benefited these platforms. And today, they are financially stable!Apart from the programs, the foundation undertakes several projects to uplift the less privileged communities.
